Become a Seller
The LexFUN! Consignment Sale utilizes My Consignment Manager (MCM) to make the consigning process a breeze for our sellers. All sellers will need to use this online software to enter their items, print tags on white cardstock, and manage their inventory.
No Hidden Fees to Consigning with Us – There is no registration cost associated with becoming a seller in our event. Sellers earn 50% of the items sold, and the balance goes to our LexFUND! Community Fund, which provides monetary support to a variety of situations geared towards assisting families in need. Supporting the LexFUND!’s Preschool Scholarship Program is one area that money is allocated to from the LexFUND! Community Fund. Unsold items are not returned to the sellers. These unsold items are either available for shoppers during the Bargain Bag Sale (3:00-4:00 PM) or donated to local family charities and organizations.
Seller Registration Process
Anyone can sell items at the LexFUN! Consignment Sale. You do not need to be a member of LexFUN! or even a Lexington resident!
Visit our sale’s registration site at www.myconsignmentmanager.com/lexfun
Wait List: At the beginning of our seller registration, we open up 300 seller spots. When these spots have filled, sellers may be put on a Waiting List for a short time. Our consignment team closely monitors our Waiting List and purchases more seller spots when we receive the Waiting List notification. While there is no cost to register as a seller, the LexFUN! Consignment Team pays for additional spots once the initial spots are filled. If at any point you change your mind about consigning, we ask that you let us know by emailing email@example.com. This allows us to give more back to the LexFUND! Community Fund.
What to Expect
Sellers are responsible for pricing all of the items they are bringing to the sale. Once registered with our sale you will enter all of your items into the online tagging software, My Consignment Manager.

Prepare Your Items
What You’ll Need: For clothing items, you’ll need wire hangers, safety pins or tagging gun, and white cardstock (Please DO NOT use copy paper). You may also need clear packing tape, Ziplock bags, rubber bands, or zip ties if you have shoes, toys, or other miscellaneous items.
Get Organized: Separate your items into groups by type – toys, clothing, equipment, etc.Sort all clothing by gender, type, and size. Sorting before entering items will save you time, as you’ll only have to re-enter the price and description for each new item. Item categories remain the same until you change them.
Check for Quality: Please examine all items, especially clothing, to make sure it is in good working condition with no stains, holes or missing pieces. Please also double check to make sure that your tags have printed clearly (bar codes are clearly visible with dark ink and not smudged or blurry) and that all information is correct.
Clothing: USE WIRE HANGERS ONLY. Clothing that is clean, pressed, and smell fresh, with buttons and zippers closed, will generally sell first. Clothing should be hung on wire hangers with the hanger positioned so that the top of the hanger forms a question mark when looking at the front of the garment. Compared to plastic hangers, wire hangers take up less room on the clothing racks.
Quick Clothing Tips
Hangers: Need a source for wire hangers? We ask that all sellers use wire hangers for displaying their clothing items. Wire hangers can be found on Amazon, Walmart stores, and some Dollar Tree stores. You can also check your local dry cleaners. If you do business with them, oftentimes they will give you a handful. Social media has recently been a great option as well. Sometimes all it takes is posting, “Anyone have some wire hangers I can take off your hands?”
Shoes: Only sell shoes that are like-new, with little wear and tear, and clean them thoroughly. Tie shoes together or place them in a clear Ziplock bag. Tags placed on Ziplock bags can be attached with clear packing tape. Scotch tape and masking tape tend not to hold so well. You are responsible for making sure your tags are secure. Please know that all shoes will be placed in bins by size. Your tag needs to be secure enough to withstand a lot of movement.
Books: All stages of reading accepted. Groups of books can be placed in bags. We do not recommend using rubber bands to group books as they run the risk of getting separated. Attach your price tag to back of the book with clear packing tape or painters tape.
Toys & Equipment: Please remove all dirt, grime, and marks to your items. Including working batteries in your items helps to ensure people try them out and working items will sell quickly. We highly recommend that all small or removable pieces be secured in a bag to the item. Make sure that all parts and pieces are included with puzzles, toys, and games. If a game has a box, taping it closed will help keep contents safe and secure. Your puzzles can also be wrapped with plastic wrap to help keep items together.
Pricing Your Items
You set your price. Price to sell! Well priced items sell first. Consignment shoppers are bargain hunters. For clothing, we suggest no more than ⅓ of the original retail price, depending on name and condition. Use the Pricing Guidelines to help you price items to sell!
Creating Your Tags
We require the use of our online tagging system for creating tags. We do not accept MCM tags or barcodes that have been used from previous years or other sales. However, we do offer a power tagging option for easy retagging of items from other consignment sales. Check out our power tagging information sheet for more details.

Seller Drop-Off will happen on Friday, April 19th from 5:00-7:30 PM. If we are able to complete set-up earlier than expected, we will send out a notification email from My Consignment Manager with details. Drop-off tends to take about 10-15 minutes. You will be asked to place your items directly onto the sale’s floor. While we tend to have volunteers assisting with placement of your items, we cannot guarantee that assistance will be available for every seller during drop-off.
Bring a Self-Addressed, Stamped Envelope (A10 size) when you drop off your items. Put your consigner number in the return address area. We will mail your check to you in this envelope. Please check to make sure your name and address listed on the envelope is the same as what you have registered on My Consignment Manager. When we are generating seller checks, we cross reference the information provided on the envelope and My Consignment Manager to make sure payments are being sent to the correct place. Taking a moment to make sure your information is correct and up-to-date helps to get your payment faster!
Helpful Tips on Dropping Off Your Items
The LexFUN! Consignment Sale has a reputation for high quality merchandise so there are restrictions on the items accepted. Please don’t be offended if items are returned to you during drop off or removed from the sale if found to be damaged. Items may be denied for any of the following reasons: stains, tears, missing buttons, non-functional zippers, missing parts, recalled items, or items we do not sell.
