Scholarships & Giving Back to Our Community
LexFUN! has a collective “big heart” and gives back to our local community in a number of important ways including the PMC, clothing drives, food pantry collections, holiday giving, sponsorship of the library fish tank and responding to specific community needs. Your involvement supports individuals, charities and organizations around our community with both monetary and in-kind support. If you wish to donate to LexFUND! we would gratefully welcome your contribution.
LexFUND! Community Fund
Our own fund was created to help local families in need by providing monetary donations in times of crisis, granting preschool scholarships, and supporting community initiatives serving preschool-aged children. The fund is supported by proceeds from our annual Consignment Sale, member donations, and other fundraising efforts.
Preschool Scholarships with LexFUN!
Through LexFUND!’s Preschool Scholarship program, we provide opportunities for children of families with financial need to get quality early education to support their child’s lifelong learning. Scholarships typically range from $250 to $4,000. Since our scholarship fund was founded, LexFUN! has awarded over $300,000 to local families! Find out more
Monetary Donations for the Community
LexFUN! donates to various community organizations, such as an annual contribution to the Cary Memorial Library and Children’s Room, to pay for maintenance of the children’s room fish tank and to purchase two family passes to the Boston Children’s Museum.
In-Kind Donations for Cradles to Crayons and Lexington Food Pantry
- LexFUN!'s Family Time to Give, in partnership with Cradles to Crayons, takes place each fall to collect a moving truck of warm clothing and items.
- Non-perishable foods are collected for the Lexington Food Pantry at many of the special events we sponsor, such as our annual Puppet Show and our Halloween Parade.
