Looking To Volunteer? LexFUN! Needs You!

LexFUN! is a 100% volunteer driven organization. All of the work we do is because of the volunteers who give up their time to dedicate to the enrichment of families in Lexington and surrounding communities. Whether you are a high school student looking to collect community service hours, a parent who is looking to connect with others in their community, or a savvy shopper who wants to get into the consignment pre-sale, LexFUN! has multiple ways for you to volunteer.

High School Volunteering!

Perfect for high school students, LexFUN! has multiple opportunities to earn valuable community service hours.

Volunteers can help with event set-up and clean-up and are often tasked to help with some of our more fun jobs such as face-painting and

balloon blowing!

Join the Board!

The LexFUN! board consists of over 50 volunteers who support the goals of our organization. Our board includes both stay at home and working parents.

The roles of board members are varied and we try to match the interests and talents of volunteers to positions. Opportunities range from event planning, hosting meet-ups to important administrative tasks you can do from home.

Board membership runs from May to May, with monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month (with the exception of July and August). Although meeting attendance is not mandatory, board members are encouraged to attend for both the social connection to other board members, and to be kept informed about LexFUN! happenings.

Board members are asked to volunteer at specific LexFUN! events outside of their roles, up to 10 additional hours to support our larger events.

Consignment Sale Volunteering!

Our annual consignment sale, held in the Spring, is our largest fundraiser for our LexFUND! Community Fund. The sale occurs over one weekend.

Over 200 volunteers are needed to make this event a success. Volunteers may be part of the committee, or more “hands on” during the event for set-up, clean-up, or general sales.

Those who wish to be a bit more involved can volunteer for the consignment committee. Committee volunteers meet monthly in the 4 to 5 months leading up to the sale in preparation.

The community collaboration for this event is so much fun!
